My passion for elephant conservation and sustainable livelihoods for locals is represented through the values and conservation efforts of this organization which motivates me to raise donations for the BTEH Challenge.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2782\" src=\"https:\/\/bteh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/248\/2019\/08\/IMG_0110-Emily-Belonje-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\"><\/p><p>Having visited Phuluang Wildlife Research Station in Thailand and witnessed the success of local people&#8217;s beehive and chili fences, I hope to raise funds to continue providing the Thai people with this mitigation strategy providing benefits for both elephants and humans.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HHYQUiWnHJ4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Video<\/a>&nbsp;Beehives Thailand<\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>With your support we can achieve this in Thailand!<\/strong><\/h3><p><strong><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2582\" src=\"https:\/\/bteh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/248\/2019\/08\/03.thai_draad_beehive_bteh-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"15\" vspace=\"15\"><\/em><\/strong><\/p><p><em>Challenge goal:<\/em> Construction of beehive fences (40 hives) to keep elephants away from farmers\u2019 crops<\/p><p>Beehive fences reduce human-elephant conflicts because they keep elephants away from farmers\u2019 plantations. Through the sale of honey, the local community experiences additional from living with elephants.
