Ik heb je hulp nodig!<\/h2>

Mijn academische reis is altijd gedreven door een diepe liefde voor wilde dieren en een diepgewortelde toewijding aan het behoud van de kwetsbare ecosystemen waarin zij leven. Tijdens het toewerken naar mijn doctoraat heeft mijn onderzoek zich gericht op het begrijpen van de complexe migratiepatronen en habitatbehoeften van olifanten. Dit werk is meer dan alleen een academische ambitie; het is een essentieel puzzelstukje om ervoor te zorgen dat deze prachtige wezens de ruimte en middelen krijgen die ze nodig hebben om te gedijen in een snel veranderende wereld. Om dit onderzoek verder te brengen is echter niet alleen een niet-aflatende inzet nodig, maar zijn ook de financi\u00eble middelen vereist om theorie om te zetten in de praktijk. To take this crucial next step, I am working closely with Bring The Elephant Home  for an intensive field data collection program at the Kariega Game Reserve in South Africa. This fieldwork is the absolute heartbeat of my research. While there, I will be gathering vital, high-resolution habitat and telemetry data directly from the field and this information is essential for developing ecological models that can genuinely guide future conservation strategies. The estimated costs to carry out this essential phase, covering travel, specialized equipment, and daily field logistics, are significant. Without this critical funding, this hands-on phase of my research and the long-term ecological insights it promises to yield simply cannot move forward.<\/p>
